Each project is approached from a foundation of professional expertise in construction management, portfolio finance, urban planning, engineering assessment, environmental consulting and project management. This rare and diverse skill set reinforces the critical connection between construction and finance in development and asset repositioning.

EXPERIENCE
With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Clare Hackney began her career in urban planning and engineering consulting serving large-scale projects such as the World Trade Center Redevelopment and the Fulton Street Transit Center. Building on this experience, she directed the excavation and remediation of Brownfields cleanup sites and moved on to become a Construction Project Manager for high-rise luxury condos in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

With over $600 million in development projects, Clare Hackney then attended NYU to earn her Masters of Science degree in Real Estate Investment & Finance while also working full-time as a Development Associate.
​
As VP at CompassRock Real Estate, Clare Hackney oversaw the Design & Construction department at a multi-billion dollar residential asset and led the reconstruction and insurance claim process for $95MM in Superstorm Sandy damage. She directed the feasibility analysis for complex development scenarios involving the transfer of several millions of square feet in air rights and establishment of new transit routes.

CONSULTING
Since 2011 Clare Hackney has worked with private clients and major institutions to strengthen connections between construction management and investment finance for their development projects and portfolio assets.
​
Recent project-based roles have included the development of capital plans, resolution of environmental property claims, management of feasibility studies and pre-development due diligence. Asset types have included multi-family, commercial office towers and industrial conversions.
